Christmas has come and Christmas is here

It's the time of the year where all the jollies and follies appear. Keke...It's Christmas...Let's do a recap of the year that has passed...Or is this meant to be done on New Year's Eve...

Haha...I think I will do that during New Years...Well a lot of people ask me if I would be going anywhere for this Christmas and I said NO...Yups...I would love to go somewhere but due to limited funds...I think I better stay put for awhile and save my ammunition for the new year.

I met up with a few gfs just this past evening. We met up at Esmirada Orchard Hotel. It was a lovely gathering. We had so much fun just laughing and even throwing plates on the ground. They say it is good luck for the greeks and since we were eating in a greek restaurant, I guess we just had to follow suit...Do the breaking of the plates...Haha...What an experience I must say...It was also a good way of venting frustration I guess. But I didn't dare throw a plate on the floor...Hee...

And let's see what else we did...We hung out at the coffee joint across the street...We did the gift exchange and all. This time, we went with the music and when the music stopped...we each landed ourselves with gifts filled with love. I always love gift exchange...Receiving gifts are just such a thoughtful thingy...

Well, Merry Christmas to the entire world. May the joy of the earth be filled within your hearts!! Signing off...

Outings with the gals

Last evening, I was late for my appointment with Pam and SLT. So what I eventually wanted to save, I had to spend. So I rushed down in a cab and asked the cabby uncle to drop me off at Outram thinking that we would gather at Outram before heading elsewhere. To my surprise, they were actually at People's Park!! I should have called sooner so I didn't have to walk the distance. :( But on second thoughts, it was great exercise!! I should make this sort of error more frequent.

Anyway, we had a good Vegetarian meal. It was great catching up, especially with SLT because she has a little one in her. We were debating if it was a boy or a gal. She suspects it is a gal but both me and Pam thinks it should be a boy. But when she told us the scan din show a littly pinky in between the legs...Then I guess we just have got to admit it most likely will be a little gal. keke...

Well, we readjourned at a dessert shop which we walked around for quite abit. And we dwelve into the topic of adultery. Guess as we are all married ladies, it was easier to understand what we all were talking about. SLT mentioned about us married couples always walking on thin lines and playing with fire. She said it would be better to abstain ourselves, if not we would surely get burnt. This topic arose when we discussed if two individuals who have common interest be platonic friends.

It was interesting how Pam mentioned that there are guys out there who actually prefer married ladies because they won't be as clingy to them and they would have their freedom. Guess I have heard of such theories before. And sometimes I think, what has the world evolved too!! And this links back to my previous posting of how morals are so distorted nowadays.

Well Pam was nice to send me home in her 8552 Honda Civic. It was a nice ride and wonderful catch up with the gals. Pam will be flying off to Penang in a couple of days. Wishing her Bon Voyage!!

It's been quiet

These times are bad times for everyone. Even countries are bombing away in their capital cities causing unrest among themselves and scaring tourist away. News have been reporting worldwide bout the political struggle within Thailand and the terrorist attacks in Mumbai. The targetted areas are the international airport and the Taj Mahal in India!! This is really something that is hard to comprehend.

Anyway, at work, things have quieten down quite a bit lately. There isn't nothing much to do this year due to the financial crisis, or could we shift the blame to the upcoming festivities? That I am not too sure. I am getting phone calls from very close clients telling me that they are watching headcounts. How bad can that be?

Just talking to a friend shows me how bad the economy is at the moment. He graduated with a Masters and now he is in limbo. I really feel very sad for him but there is nothing much I can do for him.

Being along in office, it helps me to reflect and think what the world is becoming. I am not too sure how to view the world anymore. Morals distorted, political views resulting to violence, bankers earned tons of money to escape in luxury while the rest of the world falls into debt. Truly a sight it has become.

Christmas Season

It's the time of the year where the lights at Orchard Road are put up to christen the atmosphere. This years decorations aren't fantastic at all. Well, I guess each to his own preference. I walk by Orchard Road every day looking at the sky and sometimes wonder why though I believe beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and that the people who designed the deco theme must have put in a lot of effort and hours just to plan for this once in a year ambience. :)

Well, at work, we have to start writing cards to bless the people around us and our business partners. My colleagues are very happy writing the cards. It is indeed a festive of joy. God is so good to be born on the 25th of December. May we always continue to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and exalt His name above all names!!

Anyway, my health has been taking a toil on me this past year. It hasn't been pleasant feeling pain in my abdomen, and it is definitely alarming that the doctor doesn't give favourable answers or discover unfavourable results. However, I put my hope in the Lord knowing He has everything in control.

At home, I'll probably be putting up my Christmas Tree soon. And we will just enjoy the lights glowing every night. I am so happy to be blessed with wonderfu friends, colleagues and family. I just want to say I am truly bless and thank God for everything. Despite the trials and tribulations I face in life, things always turn out alright at the end of the trial.

Just an update too. There is a new addition to the house. My husband just recently bought me a keyboard for our one year anniversary!! Now, it is an obligation that I make lovely music for both our ears.

The end of the week

I am alone in office. Enjoying the silence of a lunch break. I am about to finish my medication. Leaving office late today but I have something to look forward to. Being with a long time friend and just catching up with things.

Life has changed so much since the days we first met. Just thinking to the time when we first had it tough when political friends would break up our friendship in Primary School. Now, my tribute to her for being such a good friend.

Today is a tiring day and my colleague is sick with flu. I pray that he recovers. The life that was lost recently has made me very upset though I didn't know the demise. I pray very hard for full recovery with the family and the Lord lords over them.

Dear and I are planning another trip. Wonder where we should head really. Will take our time to think. My next post will be reflections on family matters. For now, I'll just sign off.

Life is precious!!

Life is precious...that's going to be the title of my blog for today. I haven't writtend for a long time because I went away for a long trip to the USA and Canada. That was fun yet tiring. I met up with family and it was wonderful just seeing how happy everyone is.

Since this blog is titled "Life is precious" I am going to talk about ailments. Before the trip, I had a very sore back. That got me very worried. The next morning, I headed to the doc's and to my amazement, I have got UTI!! That is absolutely horrid and my lymph nodes were swollen.

So being on antibiotics for a week already, I was slapped on with another dosage and was on it for another week. During the trip, I felt a bit better. In fact, KC then fell ill during the trip with a terrible sore throat in Vancouver. And I forgot to add, one of my closest friend had an operation right before I departed too!! How bad could that be?

Anyway, now that we are back, I thought everything would be ok. I fervently took my cranberries and acidophillis. And then another ordeal occurred. My grandfather fell ill with pneumonia and he was admitted to the hospital. And my grandmother caught asthma.

Well, anyway thank God for being kind, and my grandpa was discharged this past weekend. Followed by me suffering from slight pain in the same area. Not convinced that I am recovered, I went to the doc again to find out that I am indeed still infected!! So this is absolutely not good.

Followed by my skin problem. And just this afternoon, my good friend smsed me saying that her brother passed away!! And this was all of a sudden. He fell ill with some sort of illness which isn't good. Never mentioned that he was sick at all.

Now we know how precious life is.
